For real and artificial plants. For “cache” pot method fill around the nursery pot with soil just make sure you can gravel/rocks/pebbles under the nursery pot for drainage. For artificial plants fill the planter with potting soil, peat moss or perlite- all are lightweight, soil is lightweight when its dry.
